Jacks or Better
Video poker is a draw poker game that is played between
you and the Dealer. Unlike Texas Holdem poker, you can't "bluff" your hand - this game is purely based on odds and luck. You are dealt five cards in the first
hand, and offered the option with that first hand, to choose
which cards you want to hold and which you would like to
discard. The cards you discard are replaced with new ones
from the deck. The objective is to complete the game with
the strongest hand, with the minimum winning hand being
a Pair of Jacks or better. Jacks or Better Video Poker is
the basis for all other video poker variations, and rightly
so. It's the easiest and most basic form of the game and
has been popular since its introduction. In Jacks or Better
Video Poker, you have many coin sizes to pick from, including
Twenty Five Cents, Fifty Cents, One Dollar and Five Dollars.
You also have the choice of making a 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or
5x (5x being the max bet) bet per hand. This ensures that
the game is affordable and much more enjoyable.
